Connect Shopify

Install the Arasta app, attach the shop to your organization, pay through Shopify and switch on the chat in your theme.

Shopify stores are connected by installing the Arasta app — there are no keys to copy.

Install and connect

  1. Install the Arasta app from the Shopify App Store or from your install link. Shopify asks you to approve read-only access to orders, customers, products, fulfilments, content and policies.
  2. You land on Connect your Shopify store. Sign in or create an account, then choose the organization that will manage the shop and click Connect, or Create organization and connect. Only Owners and Admins can attach a shop to an existing organization.
  3. The install link is valid for 15 minutes. If it expired, open the app again from Shopify admin → Apps → Arasta.

A shop can belong to one Arasta organization only.

Choose a plan

Approve {plan} in Shopify opens Shopify's approval page. The subscription and any overage appear on your Shopify invoice. Approving a different plan later replaces the current subscription. See Plans and billing.

Switch on the chat

In Shopify admin open Online Store → Themes → Customize → App embeds, switch on Arasta support chat and save. No theme code changes are needed; uninstalling the app removes the widget. All other widget settings are on Store → Widget — see Website chat widget.

Shopify specifics

  • The connection card on the store's Overview tab is read-only. To rotate the access token, reinstall the app.
  • Logged-in customers are recognised automatically.
  • Invoice PDFs are not available on Shopify.
  • Orders older than 60 days need Shopify's readallorders approval.
  • Until Shopify approves the app for protected customer data, order questions go to your team and the store page shows a warning.
  • Deleting the store in Arasta does not uninstall the app; uninstall it in Shopify too.
